Craig Morgan writes emotional post about son's death
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) - Country music singer Craig Morgan has taken to Facebook to remember his son, Jerry Greer.
"The loss of our son Jerry is the hardest thing we have ever had to endure as a family."
In the post, Morgan said he and his wife Karen are grateful for the amount of support they've received since the loss of their son to a boating accident earlier this month. Morgan thanked local agencies and volunteers who helped bring his son home.
"Additionally, we cannot thank the music and outdoor communities enough for wrapping their arms around us, as well as our industry friends, fans, and all those that loved our son."
Morgan wrote that his family is very blessed for the prayers and condolences they have received from across the world.
"Jerry may be gone from this earth, and we will miss him every day, but his spirit will live on in our hearts. We will find peace knowing that God has a bigger plan, and that one day, we'll be reunited with him again in Heaven. John 3:16."
Greer's body was recovered from Kentucky Lake in Tennessee on July 11, following a boating accident and search that started the day before.
