'Reading Rainbow' star LeVar Burton wants to livestream reading books amid virus pandemic

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Folks are thinking up creative ways to stay in touch and support each other amid the coronavirus pandemic as families bunker down at home.

Now, LeVar Burton, the star of the kids hit "Reading Rainbow" wants to livestream reading books.

He's hoping children can take a look in a book and ease from coronavirus blues. Burton posted the idea on Twitter and even got permission from an author,Neil Gaiman.

Others offered their help, includingMary Robinette Kowal and HarperCollins publishers.
